Event coverage is one of the main areas of production at Devon Films. In the last 5 years this part of our business has grown to such an extent that we are now shooting several events every month.
Steve and Ben direct around 10 to 15 major events every year in the Middle East, often in the presence of the Royal Families of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Such events may include the ceremonial opening of gas and oil refineries, airports, Universities and other large organisations, or may include celebrations of business partnerships between airlines, industrial manufacturers and governments. Many of these events are broadcast live on television in the Middle East as well as being webcast to an invited audience.
In the UK and Europe we regularly film the live launches for Ford at all the European Motor Shows for big screen coverage and live webcasting. Other events in the UK include many corporate conferences and award shows for which we also produce content for use in the show, as well as providing highlights packages for broadcast the same day, webcasting, and edited DVDs after the event
During the last three years we have been contracted by the Aviva British Athletics Championships to shoot and edit films for output on the giant stadium screens between the races. Our films typically feature interviews and training footage of athletes such as Mo Farah and Jess Ennis and are usually shot, edited and broadcast within a 48 hour time frame.
